April 4th ADNI Data Training Session

The ADNI Biostatistics Core will hold the first part of a two-part training session on ADNI data on Thursday, April 4, 2013, from 8-10am PDT. The focus of this session will be on the basics of ADNI, including a brief overview of the study, navigating the study related websites, downloading data, and using visualization tools available on the LONI website. Specific emphasis will be on where to find details about the study and making use of the available resources.

Please note that space is limited, although a repeat session may be held if needed. All materials will be available on the LONI website after the training. If you are interested, please contact Naomi Saito to sign up.

MR Study ID Changes

New rules that determine how study ID’s are assigned to images archived within the IDA have been implemented. As a part of this change, many existing records have been reassigned study ID’s. This may impact you if you use LONI Study IDs for internal purposes and/or for reporting your analysis results. A listing of study ID changes, showing original LONI study ID and revised LONI study ID, is available from within the IDA download section (under Imaging –> MR Image Quality).

NOTE: LONI study ID is also called LONISID in several ADNI datasets.

AIBL/ADNI 36 Months Data Release

The AIBL study announces the release of PiB and MRI images and corresponding ADNI compliant clinical and psychometric data for the three year follow-up time point of the AIBL study. Three year clinical data is now available on 221 participants imaged at baseline and three year imaging data is available on 177 of these participants. Of these, 152 had MR, 173 had PiB PET, and 148 had PiB PET and MR. Funding to support this data release was provided by the Alzheimer’s Association. AIBL gratefully acknowledges the support of the Science Industry Endowment Fund, CSIRO, NHMRC, Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer Drug Discovery Foundation, an anonymous donor, GE Healthcare, Bayer, Piramal, Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, Pfizer and Astra Zeneca.

ADNI 1/GO/2 Merged Data Packages for R, SAS, SPSS and Stata Users

Merged datasets (ADNIMERGE) containing data from ADNI 1/GO/2 clinical data and numeric summaries are now available in the IDA. Installation instructions are included in the files which may be found by logging into the IDA and navigating to the DOWNLOAD –> Study Data section.
