Ongoing Investigations

ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

Proposed Analysis: I am involved in three projects and initiatives which are followup-projects to the EU funded Innomed and neuGRID (which I participated). These involve the evaluation of brain extraction algorithms (such as BEaST) and their impact on cortical thickness precision; web-based visualization and the comparative evaluation of cortical thickness algorithms (e.g. FACE versus freesurfer). I am working on developing collaboration with FHNW (Switzerland), University of Aarlborg (Denmark) and King's College as part of these projects.
