ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

| Proposed Analysis: | Using ADNI database, we plan to develop the method to integrate the multimodal data such as clinical, genetics, image data to extract the informative variables for diagnosis and prognosis of AD. Because each type of data is mixture of relevant and irrelevant information, we should extract the relevant one. To do this, we will apply the conventional canonical correlation analysis (CCA) and the variants recently developed in the field of machine learning, including kernel CCA, Bayesian CCA and Sparse CCA. CCA and the variants are methods to identify the latent variables representing information commonly involved in multiple sets of data. We will use the latent variables identified with each variants of CCA for the prediction and classification of AD and compare the accuracy. |
