Ongoing Investigations

ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

Principal Investigator
Principal Investigator's Name: Bradford Dickerson
Institution: Massachusetts General Hospital
Department: Neurology
Country: United States of America
Proposed Analysis: Cortical thickness analysis of controls, MCI, and AD based on a priori regions of interest identified previously. The primary question is how consistent is regional cortical thinning across the ADNI dataset in comparison to data collected at a single site. In addition, we propose to compare the localization and magnitude of the reduction in cortical thickness with the localization and magnitude of reduction in metabolism from PET data in both MCI and AD (compared to controls).
Additional Investigators
Investigator's Name: David Wolk
Proposed Analysis: Cognitive and MRI data analysis

Investigator's Name: Nirali Butala
Proposed Analysis: Analysis of ADNI1 data focusing on amyloid negative MCI individuals and psychometric and MRI measures.
