Ongoing Investigations

ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

Proposed Analysis: Hi Bob! I would like to obtain data for the healthy control and MCI groups, to look at cognitive change over time, and diagnostic status, for those who were/are versus were not/are not taking anticholinergic medications. I would also look at ApoE genetic status as a potential modifying variable in this analysis. I am hypothesizing that, of all those who are taking anticholinergic medications, those who perform worse at baseline on a various cognitive measures are more likely to show greater change (impairment) over time, and are more likely to convert to MCI or AD over a several year period.
