Ongoing Investigations

ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

Proposed Analysis: The target of this research project, which constitutes a Ph.D. proposal, is to design an automatic feature extraction and classification algorithm for early-stage detection of Alzheimer's. The discriminant features are extracted from a pool of clinical data and image characteristics. The results of this project can be used not only to automate parts of the disease monitoring process, but also to evaluate the importance of the different features.
