ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

| Proposed Analysis: | Specific Aims: In this project we reexamine the issue of image re-identification from volumetric images of the head. The project will 1) survey the literature of facial recognition to determine what features have been found to be most critical to facial recognition, 2) create a framework to quantify re-identifiability of images through the design of observer (human or machine) performance experiments, 3) develop a prototype de-facing application and demonstrate its value in decreasing the re-identification probability of volumetric images. |
