MR Study ID Changes

New rules that determine how study ID’s are assigned to images archived within the IDA have been implemented. As a part of this change, many existing records have been reassigned study ID’s. This may impact you if you use LONI Study IDs for internal purposes and/or for reporting your analysis results. A listing of study ID changes, showing original LONI study ID and revised LONI study ID, is available from within the IDA download section (under Imaging –> MR Image Quality).

NOTE: LONI study ID is also called LONISID in several ADNI datasets.

New & Updated Diffusion Tensor Imaging and Tensor-Based Morphometry Data Available

Tensor-based Morphometry & DTI ROI Summary Measures data generated by the Thompson Lab (LONI) are available from the DOWNLOAD section of the ADNI archive. The datasets are named UCLA – DTI ROI Summary Measures & UCLA – Tensor-based Morphometry Version 2.0.

ADNI 1/GO/2 Merged Data Packages for R, SAS, SPSS and Stata Users

Merged datasets (ADNIMERGE) containing data from ADNI 1/GO/2 clinical data and numeric summaries are now available in the IDA. Installation instructions are included in the files which may be found by logging into the IDA and navigating to the DOWNLOAD –> Study Data section.

Item Level Data Available

Item level data for a number of assessments, including ADAS-Cog, ANART, MMSE and AVLT are now available for download from the Study Data Download section of the archive. How to: Log into the IDA (ida.loni.ucla.edu?project=ADNI) and choose the Study Data option under the Download menu. This item will be found under “Assessments”.

ADNI 1 ADNI GO & ADNI 2 Clinical Data Available

Clinical data from the ADNI 1, ADNI GO and ADNI 2 phases of the project are now available in the the ADNI Repository (IDA). Once logged in, you may peruse and download assessment, medical history, biospecimen and other data from the DOWNLOAD | Study Data menu. See INSTRUCTIONS for more information.

FreeSurfer version used for longitudinal processing

There has been some confusion as to which version of FreeSurfer was used to process ADNI 1 (1.5T) longitudinal data. The XML which accompanies the FreeSurfer brain masks indicates that version 4.3 was used for both cross-sectional and longitudinal processing. In fact, cross-sectional processing was done with version 4.3 and longitudinal processing was done with version 4.4.
